Brownstone Santa

Brownstone-Santa-outline

I created a children’s book called “Santa Rides the Subways” – which tells the story of what would happen to Santa if his sled was damaged and he got stranded in Brooklyn. The good people of Brooklyn come to his aid- and all the presents are delivered as expected. This painting shows Santa and his sleigh as they descend into the brownstone streets of Brooklyn.

Painting was created using colored pencils, airbrush, acrylics and oils on paper. Measures approximately 20″ x 15″. Please click here– or on image for ordering details.

John Carter of Mars

Burroughs_scifi--outline2

Inspired by the Edgar Rice Burroughs series – “John Carter of Mars” – I painted this sci-fi image that I hoped would lead to doing more science fiction cover work. It did indeed lead to my doing fantasy and sic-fi illustrations for children’s books.

I personally love this painting. It measures approximately 30″ x 20″- on masonite board. Created using airbrush, acrylics and oils. Please click here – or on image for more information about ordering prints.

Galadriel – The Moon Queen

Moon-Queen-outline-

Image directly inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s  “Lord of the Rings” books. This is my imagining of Galadriel where she shows Frodo the pool of water that shows him a possible future. This painting is hanging in my living room- which shows what I think of it!

This painting was carefully using a detailed pencil drawing- followed up by colored pencils, airbrush, acrylics and oil paints. Original painting measures approximately 30″ x 15″ – on board. Please click here –  or on the image for more information about ordering prints.

Broccoli Girl

Broccoli-Girl---outline---trans

This painting was created using colored pencils, acrylics, airbrush and oils. A long process, but needed to achieve the level of realism that I was looking for. The original artwork measures approximately 28″ x 19″. I am offering limited edition archival prints of this painting. Please click here – or on image for more details.

Mattingly

Mattingly---outline

Inspired by my hero of the 1990’s I painted this image of former Yankee Don Matttingly- in action with his perfect swing. I haven’t painted too many sports images- but I love baseball and think of doing more in the future. This painting was created using colored pencils, airbrush, acrylics and oils. Measures approximately 20″ x 15″. Please click here – or on image for prints sizes available- and other information.

Unicorn

unicorn-outline

This painting was a commissioned image for posters that were sold throughout the US several years ago. I did one more unicorn image for the same company. I was able to draw on my background in romance cover art- and fantasy  -all in one image!

Painting was created using colored pencils, acrylics and oil paints. Measures approximately 20″ x 30″. Please click here – or on the image for more views and information about print sizes available.

Eric in the Clouds

Eric-in-Clouds---outline

This painting is based on a children’s book that I wrote when video games were beginning to hit big time- during the early days of Mario and Zelda. That’s my son bouncing from cloud to cloud as Mario would do in the video games. The story images what the world would be like if the kind of things that one occurs in video games would actually happen in real life. I may have been ahead of my time.

This painting was created using colored pencils, airbrush, acrylics and oils- on board. Measures approximately 20″ x 15″. Please click here – or on image – for more information about ordering prints.
